Who are we?
Vanja Rendulić Medvešček
After high school, Vanja R. Medvešček enters University of Ljubljana, Slovenia, where she graduates in the English language and literature.
Initially, Vanja sets out to translate extracts of seminar papers and diploma theses for companies and individuals. She translates an extract from “Laična šola, pro et contra” by Zdenko Kodelja, PhD; the author uses the translation for his presentation at a 1996 seminar on the philosophy of pedagogy in Brussels. Then, Vanja Medvešček, together with Blaž Lisac, and his expertise and support translates the book “The E-myth” which describes the reasons why small companies go bankrupt, for the Lisac & Lisac publishing house.
In her senior year of college, she becomes employed as a teacher of English at a primary school. At that time Vanja does not loose touch with the translation business as she translates work specification reports for the construction of British Embassy residence in Ljubljana, the client being Inženiring 4M, a studio of architectural design. As well as this, Vanja Medvešček also becomes a translator in Croatian.
In 2004, Vanja R. Medvešček is employed at the Ministry of Defence as a translator in English-Slovene language combinations, and after that as a Head of Translation Department at Translat.
Vanja R. Medvešček is a member of the Association of Technical and Scientific Translators of Slovenia where she is registered as a translator in English, Serbian and Croatian.
